Unified Communications Engineer

Our company is growing, and we are looking for a Unified Communications Engineer. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the management and maintenance of all telephony, chat, conferencing equipment including end points. Engineer will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance and repairs to the communication platforms, and its related software and network components.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service utilizing a high-touch, customer centric approach focused on collaboration and communication.
  • IP Telephony (Voice over IP) environment to ensure maximum availability and functionality for business operations.
  • Windows 10 and Office 365 experience
  • Knowledge and experience with telecommunications and principles related to Nice InContact, CX One or similar platform, must have experience configuring IVR from backend.
  • Knowledge and experience with telecommunications and principles related to Microsoft Exchange and Teams.
  • Analyze, design, implement and support unified communications solutions to meet the technical and business requirements, including best practice voice collaboration in the EDH space.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Unified Communications to support business requirements, Provide Tier 3 Team escalation and interface w/ Vendors to resolve all issues as needed.
  • Pilot emerging technologies to maintain and increase the business's competitive advantage, run projects from end to end related to telephony, chat or email.
  • Maintain system documentation and knowledge base articles for the support of each system.
  • Develop and implement training materials.
  • Must have good communications skills and a relentless drive for customer experience.
  • This role requires an onsite office presence of at least 50%

Requirements

  • B. S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; or 5+ years of related work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an UC and/or Telephony environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned work according to business need and priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Self-managed; ability to work well independently and in a global team environment
  • Business acumen, and the ability to communicate to business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike
