Morrison Water Services are the leading service provider in the Water and Wastewater Infrastructure sectors in the UK. We are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Technical Bid Writer to work on our Water, Wastewater and MEICA opportunities from a UK wide perspective. As the Technical Bid Writer, you will form part of a team who are responsible for the targeted growth, client management, bid management and business development activities to support the growth targets for our business. You will be able to work from home in this role, with the requirement to travel for business need for team meetings. The role will be responsible for leading and managing the development of technical submissions associated with any tenders/bids for major projects and framework opportunities in the UK wide market including liaison with the relevant operational leads/SME s, adoption of best practice, consultation with the knowledge bank and bid library and liaison with our internal marketing team where applicable. MWS forms the largest part of the MGroup Water Division and is the leading provider of essential infrastructure services through long-term framework agreements to the water (clean and waste) sector across the UK. As the Technical Bid Writer your duties & responsibilities will be: Liaise with the Business Development teams to ensure bids are written to the highest standards. Formulation and development of the bid/tender management team with respect to the technical submission. Actively lead the technical submission requirements. Manage the interface and engagement with the operational leads relevant to the opportunity. Oversee and partake in the physical bid writing function. Facilitate and actively engage with other departments within the business where relevant. Enhance the current major projects tendering process to improve the company s ability to win work. Conduct and contribute towards pre and post tender/bid meetings with clients in pursuit of securing work. Quality control of the bid content and submission activities Skills & Knowledge Requirements Effective communication skills both verbal and written Knowledge of the water and waste water market sectors Full working knowledge of MS office, MS Teams and SharePoint Proven track record in a similar role Excellent organisational skills Confident and self-motivated individual with the ability to innovate Able to manage situations when workload presents conflicting demands Be able to work with others to understand, develop and harness the knowledge and best practice both within and outside of the business Report writing skills Bid management (desirable but not essential) Be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail What s in it for you?
