This exciting opening comes at a time when our team is growing and our services expand across the South West of England and South Wales. We're looking for a therapist who is passionate about working in a forward thinking and innovative way, including within a Neurodiversity Affirming framework or who has an interest in learning more about this and evolving their practice in line with this framework. The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced, friendly and welcoming team and will receive robust clinical and managerial supervision, alongside regular CPD and learning through peer supervision within the team. Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapists will be supported to complete their RCSLT NQP competencies Brief overview: Ideally at least 1-2 years experience, however, this post would suit a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist, The role's focus will primarily be Oakwood Specialist College, Dawlish, supporting in our other services as required, Full time position, Salary dependant on experience, starting at £25,655.00 Must be HCPC and RCSLT registered. This is a great development opportunity and will suit someone who is proactive and looking for the chance to be creative with assessment and therapy work. We are looking for someone interested in working in an innovative, self-directed, and flexible way, who recognises the value of the therapeutic relationship and the power of direct therapy, as well as the need to empower those working with the people we support through our universal and targeted provision. Our SLT team are trauma informed and work within the Neurodiversity Paradigm using Neurodiversity Affirming practices, therefore the post holder will be expected to share the same values and be willing to develop their practice in line with these approaches. Whilst Oakwood Specialist College, Dawlish will be the main base for this post, the post holder will be expected to support with Speech and Language Therapy work at our other sites across the Southwest of England and South Wales as required.
