Job Title: Rights of Way Inspector Location: Brixworth Business Area: Highways Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full time Salary: Competitive + Pension + Benefits At Kier, we are Collaborative, Trusted and Focused, with Safety at the heart of everything we do. We are currently looking for a Rights of Way Inspector to join our Highways team in Brixworth to be responsible for undertaking safety inspections on the Right of Way network include metalled rights of way. Key Responsibilities In this exciting Rights of Way Inspector role, you'll inspect and assess the general condition of the rights of way network, 20% of the network to be inspected annually in accordance with RoWIP. The inspections will be carried out in accordance with the Highway Safety Inspection Manual and the "Code of Practice Well Managed Highways Infrastructure". You'll be also responsible for the categorising, logging and entering defects onto the asset management and recommend sites for comprehensive maintenance to be included in the Capital programme. In addition, you'll manage your own programme of walked inspections each month. What do we need from you? Full UK driving licence - essential Lantra accredited Highways inspection certificate preferable Education in a relevant discipline or suitable level of experience in an environmental area would be advantageous. General knowledge of planned and reactive highway and RoW maintenance Good communication skills both written and verbal Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative.
