Your new company You will be working for a leading provider of specialist services for adults with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Condition. The organisation offers a wide range of services such as supported living, residential care, leisure services and many more. They are dedicated to tackling the inequalities people with a learning disability face in their everyday life. You will be based in the Levenshulme service, which offers a unique combination of transition services with varied supported living accommodation. IDSC1 Your new role As a Registered Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing the strategic overview and direction of your service. Your new role will involve: Overseeing management strategies, individual behavioural interventions, risk assessments and therapeutic plans to keep individuals safe whilst ensuring there is still opportunity for potential and growth Developing a dedicated staff team by getting involved in the recruitment, selection, appointment and induction of staff as well as supporting team leaders to deliver an excellent service Maintaining and developing positive relationships with the families and friends as well as developing partnerships with outside organisations To tender for/develop and set up new services and in accordance with agreed service specifications and contractual requirements What you'll need to succeed Experience working within supported living in the learning disabilities field is essential. You must be confident in leading a team and will have evidence managing a team for 2+ years. Additionally, a full manual UK driving licence is required. Furthermore, you will ideally be an enthusiastic, committed and resilient individual who wants to make a difference by working as part of a team to support adults with learning disabilities to achieve positive outcomes. Your communication skills will be exceptional. You will hold a NVQ 5 Leadership & Management qualification, equivalent or above (or be working towards it).
