ABOUT THE CLIENT My client is regarded and respected as one of the leading Manufacturers and Suppliers of quality floor coverings, sanitary ware and kitchens to the construction and retail markets across Europe Diversifying production has played a key role in the growth of a business group that started off manufacturing a single product: ceramic tiles. Today, the Group s eight firms offer a vast selection of products ranging from kitchen and bathroom equipment to high-tech materials and state-of-the-art building solutions for contemporary architecture. ABOUT THE ROLE Selling high quality manufactured products into the architectural and construction market sectors Generating and breaking specifications via leading Architect practices, design studios, interior designers, façade contractors and installers. 50% new business development 50% account management Dealing with projects with a vast range of sizes and material options from our portfolio Managing multiple live projects at any one time, at various stages of development - form design to system installation on site Conducting occasional CPD seminars when required Generating a pipeline of specification projects to support regional and national sales targets CRM database reporting and analysis Networking with decision makers across our customer base To ensure you are familiar with all personnel working within the client s business, and that they are familiar with the brand and image. To be fully conversant with the complete range of our products to facilitate the ideal specification within the design intent and budget constraints of each individual and unique project. To develop and encourage architects and designers to specify my clients products in preference to our competitors based on our product quality, unique solutions and service. To introduce all new products and services offered by my client in line with the current business strategy. To liaise with all levels of staff within the Company to ensure Customer expectations and service levels are achieved. To be aware of market trends as well as competitors activities, product ranges, strengths, and weaknesses across all sectors To maintain clear and accurate reporting procedures regarding all business activities and ensure all communications are submitted in a timely fashion. ABOUT THE CANDIDATE Experience generating specifications via leading Architect practices and specifiers Experience selling a high value product or a technical product into either main contractors or sub-contractors Ideally relationships with leading architect practices already in place Excellent People Skills Smart personal appearance Clear and positive communicator with good negotiation and influencing skills Relevant experience with face-to-face customer sales in a similar environment or possesses the underlying traits to fulfil this role. We look for someone with the following characteristics: Knowledge of residential, hospitality and commercial market sectors not essential but desirable Professional, driven, and strong communication skills Punctual, organized, and able to manage work effectively Disciplined approach to project management Familiar with continuously reporting based on CRM or similar Autonomous role Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
