We are currently looking for a hospitality consultant for our Manchester Perms division An exciting opportunity to join a growing business and take responsibility for a new temp desk The person: Strong organisational and administrative skills are a must, along with excellent attention to detail. On the temp recruitment side of things, you could be organising upwards of 100+ shifts per week. We need the right people, in the right places, at the right time, in the right uniform, with the right skillset this part of the role has been described as organising the biggest staffing rota that you can think of. You will need to enjoy talking to people, getting to know people, building and developing relationships with candidates and clients alike and be happy picking up the phone. This role is demanding and we need some who is proactive, can prioritise, work with pace and think on their feet. Equally important is clear thinking and calm under pressure. A hospitality or events background and knowledge would be of real benefit. You need to be comfortable conversing with Hotel GMs, F&B managers, restaurant managers, staffing managers etc. While hospitality experience is advantageous, we do welcome applications with relevant experience and transferable skills from other industries along with recent graduates. Most importantly the right person will love being busy, spinning multiple plates and be the king or queen of multitasking The role: Encompasses temporary recruitment for all front of house hospitality roles: you will be responsible for recruiting for everything from a temporary plate waiter for a hospitality box at the races to a permanent restaurant manager for a 5 hotel in the Cotswolds. Managing the day to day running of a busy temp desk filling all temporary bookings with appropriately skilled staff, ensuring smooth communication of all shift details between office, staff and clients and effective management and care of temporary workers. Account management work in partnership with our clients, understanding the ins and outs of their operations, building new and developing current working relationships. We need someone able to consistently deliver results and willing to go the extra mile but who also understands the importance of the personal touch. Numbers focused helping set and working to realistic and achievable budgets, you will need to have a good grasp on your figures, know how to protect margin, be GP focused and ultimately be accountable for the financials delivered on the desk. Posting adverts and coming up with recruitment plans to attract applicants. Screening, shortlisting and interviewing candidates. It is all about balancing demand and supply and finding the right face for the right place. Running in-house staff hospitality training for temporary workers as and when required
