Compliance Specialist (Payment Services). London (Hybrid working). £70,000-£90,000 plus bonus & benefits. Exciting opportunity to join an expanding and developing Consultancy Practice who growing their Payments Team. Providing excellent ongoing development for you to further your career and technical expertise.

The role:

You'll be part of a team that manage a varied portfolio of clients relating to payment services.

Involved in but not limited to;

  • Supporting firms with authorisation and registration applications
  • Assisting firms with regulatory sandboxes trials and testing
  • Undertaking risk assessment exercises (e.g. financial crime, operational and security risk)
  • Helping clients to design and deploy their compliance frameworks (e.g. policies and procedures, compliance monitoring plan)
  • Helping clients with their regulatory reporting
  • Designing and delivering training sessions
  • Reviewing clients compliance systems and controls making recommendations for improvements as appropriate
  • S.166 'Skilled Person reviews
  • Responding to ad-hoc and routine regulatory queries from clients
  • Providing clients with strategic advice regarding their regulated activities
  • Assisting, coaching and mentoring junior members of the team

To apply:

  • Significant compliance-related experience gained at a financial institution, legal practice, consultancy and/or regulator
  • Deep understanding of the UK regulatory framework, including the FCA s Handbook, associated guidance, approach to policy development, supervision and enforcement
  • Previous experience of working with payment service institutions, e-money institutions and financial services innovators
  • Meaningful financial crime compliance knowledge (covering anti- money laundering, counter terrorist financing, sanctions, anti- bribery & corruption, and fraud).
  • Experience translating regulatory rules and guidance into meaningful, fit-for-purpose and pragmatic solutions for regulated firms
  • Experience managing client relationships
