Learning Support Assistant - Dyslexia - South West London - Immediate Start This welcoming and supportive independent secondary school in South West London is looking for a calm and caring graduate to join the existing support team as a Learning Support Assistant - Dyslexia, supporting a range of children with dyslexia. About the Role - Learning Support Assistant - Dyslexia This Learning Support Assistant - Dyslexia role involves you working in different classes across the whole school. Part of your role will be to provide whatever assistance in necessary in class, however the main focus of your role will be supporting a number of students who have dyslexia and other mild learning difficulties. You will be leading small groups on your own and mentoring those students on a 1:1 basis. Your responsibilities are to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for all pupils under your tutelage but you will work as part of a close knit team and share challenges wherever possible. The school has designed specially adapted areas for SEN pupils which encourages a stimulating and interactive learning environment, and you will have access to these classrooms with your SEN pupils to help them further their academic and social achievements. Person Specification - Learning Support Assistant - Dyslexia For this post you should be a caring graduate who has previous experience working with children who have special educational needs and has the skills to establish meaningful relationships with pupils.
