They are now seeking an Associate Director to join their Project Management team in their London Major Projects team to lead on the delivery of large scale mixed-use masterplans (up to 10,000 residential units). The project pipeline is excellent with many large scale developments to work on for the years to come.

The Role

This is very much a delivery role to take responsibility for leading the team of 3-5 people and provide all services relating to project management for the pre-contract and post-contract delivery for the site's infrastructure across London, Kent and Hertfordshire.

Main purpose of the role;

  • To lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring good communication and adherence to governance processes for the design and installation of utilities and other site infrastructure for large scale mixed use developments.

  • To understand, anticipate, inform and deliver great outcomes for their clients, every time, everywhere.

  • To drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management and quality performance on infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.

  • To develop a team of Project Management professionals with a strong pipeline of work.

Key accountabilities;

  • Helping to establish the overall success criteria for the project's site infrastructure works, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.

  • Advising upon the procurement of resources.

  • Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.

  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.

  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports.

  • Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.

Business development to include;

  • Identifying opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and reporting such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.

  • Assisting in the production of bid documentation.

  • Financial management - ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising FMS in order to monitor a project's financial status.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a consultancy, developer or contracting environment and have a strong understanding of the utilities and infrastructure relating to connections of large property developments.

Essential experience includes;

  • Construction related degree or a similar construction or engineering related qualification with extensive technical delivery experience in a similar role gained within a consultancy or developer.

  • Demonstrable experience of leading on enabling works and beyond.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.

  • Proven leadership experience.
